What I always found so odd and fascinating about organizational/office work is, that it mostly consists of being a node of communication. All day long you phone/mail/fax some people you´ll probably never see in your life and that might live hours away from where you just sit in order to make them do something you´ve been asked for by phone/mail/fax by other remote people. The fascinating thing about this work in imaginary spheres is that is oftenly has a very material outcome. (I don´t mean salary)
